The Institut Courtois of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Université de Montréal opens its 2026 summer internship program for undergraduate students. Many interdisciplinary projects in material sciences, in the research group of different regular members of the Institut Courtois are proposed.
Objectives:
- Recruit junior researchers for summer internships at Institut Courtois, enabling them to carry out exploratory research in the field of materials;
- Promote the development of interdisciplinary research projects (chemistry, physics, computer science);
Calendar:
- Program launch: Jan 17, 2025
- Submission deadline: March 7th, 2025
- Announcement of results: March 31st, 2025
Amount, Start date and duration:
- 8 000$ stipend (6000$ from Institut Courtois and 2000$ from the supervisor)
- 16 weeks, 5 days a week (in person), Start date: May 2026
Eligibility criteria
- The candidate must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a Canadian University
Application:
- A cover letter explaining your interest in materials discovery using artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as your experiences and personal qualities that position you well for a research internship;
- Choice #1, #2 and #3 from the internships listed below, in order of preference, with #1 being your first choice;
- A copy of your university transcripts;
- Your curriculum vitae detailing your educational background and experiences (internships, jobs), as well as your projects, involvements, scholarships and/or awards received.
